Portland, Oregon. The
city of roses. A place where being green isn't
only easy, it's required! An hour to the beach, an
hour to the mountain, and an hour to the high
desert. What about that doesn't sound perfect?
Often called "Beervana,"
our beautiful city is home to more than 40
microbreweries & brewpubs. You can find
"Legalize Tofu" bumper stickers, the biggest
bookstore you'll ever encounter, a free downtown ride with your friend MAX and some
of the best coffee shops, historic hotels, and
tax-free shopping around. (But don't try to pump
your own gas—it's illegal in Oregon - and we
like it that way.)
